What is Creative Sparks?
Our mission is to create accessibility to literacy and art for young community members. We foster a love for learning and reading through creative expression in a safe, fun space where students can take home books and materials. Our approach enhances literacy skills while building confidence in every child.

Program Development
Creative Sparks was born from The Contribution Project Grant. The Contribution Project helped us get off our feet initially. After six weeks, we became our own independent organization based and run in the Bay Area. Creative Sparks will continue to blossom and grow in the Bay Area and beyond under the core principle of bringing accessiblity to creativity learning for youth all over.
Family Friendly • No Registration Required
Sustainability & Materials
We source gently used books from Green Apple Books to keep our program sustainable and cost-efficient. Our book exchange program ensures that every child can continue their reading journey at home, creating an ongoing cycle of community literacy.
